Our Planet Projects!
Today in Science the students finished presenting their planet projects to the class. Each student had to choose a planet and create questions they wanted answered about their planet. We then created an outline and a rubric as a class. Once they were finished researching their planet, they had to choose how to present their information. Finished projects included posters, models, books, brochures, reports and powerpoints. Well done everyone!

Reading Buddies!
This year we are Reading Buddies with Mrs. Macnaughton's 1/2 classroom. We do many different activities together. They read to us and we ask them questions to help them work on comprehension strategies. We read to them so we can practice our accuracy and expression skills. Sometimes we help them complete Art projects or practise their math facts. We meet every Day 4 in period seven.
LS!N and the Lion's Haunted House
On Saturday October 26th, our TCS student group LS!N volunteered to help the Minnedosa Lion's host their haunted house out at Dalrymple's Greenhouse! All the students had an awesome time and their costumes and make up were fantastic. The Lion's raised about $1400 which is being donated to the Stars Ambulance service! Great job everyone!
We Scare Hunger Grand Total!
On November 1st, TCS had an assembly to find out how much weight the staff and students collected during our school wide food drive campaign called We Scare Hunger put on by the LS!N students. We collected a grand total 1969.66 lbs or 895.3 kg of food for the Minnedosa Food Bank! Our classroom collected 121.88lbs or 55.4 kg of food. Thanks to all my students who brought food. Way to go LS!N and TCS students!

On Monday October 28th our class participated in National Library Day by Dropping Everything And Reading for 30 minutes.
