September 17th Updates
Grade 7's wrote a Math test today. The Grade 8 Math test will be next week now. Please check your child's planner for date.
LS!N had their first meeting yesterday. Please return form and money if your child is interested in joining our service learning group at TCS.
Open House is on Tuesday September 23rd from 6-7:30pm. Hope to see you all there!
Grade 7's camping trip is September 25th and 26th. Permission slip and money can be handed into Mrs. Morrice.
On Friday September 12th, Mr. Sheppard and Mr. Rapsky took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge! All money brought in for Hat and Jeans Day on September 26th will be donated to ALS.

Biographies
Our first LA assignment was to write a biography on another student in our classroom. We started by brainstorming and writing out questions to ask the other student when we interviewed them. Grade 7 students were partnered up with Grade 8 students. Our next step was to take the answers and create a rough draft of the biography on our new ASUS netbooks each student received on Tuesday.
When everyone has published their final copy by the end of this week, we will share them with the class so we can all get to know each other a little better.

Weekly Update - September 8th - 12th
A number of different forms have been sent home since the start of the school year. The list below is to help you keep track of what needs to be returned to the school.
URIS, Media consent, Internet permission, Off Site permission, Office Information form and Wireless password permission slip.
School Supplies - $50.00 and Dayplanners - $3.00
Grades 7/8 Interscholastic Soccer starts today. Practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5pm. Those students who were interested have signed up on the bulletin board by the gym. Divisional tournament is Saturday September 27th in Rivers. More information and permission slip to ride the bus will be sent home later.

Day planners and Reminders
Day planners went home today. Please be sure to read your child's planner and sign it along with the forms that are due back by Friday September 5th.
Forms include: Media consent, Internet Access, URIS and volunteer jobs.
If you haven't already done so, please send cash or cheque made payable to TCS for school supplies ($50) and day planners ($3).
If your child didn't bring a binder to school today, please send one by Monday September 8th.
Intramural house captain meeting is Friday September 5th in period 8.
TCS Terry Fox Run is Friday September 12th in period 8. More information to follow.
