Terry Fox Run 2013

Our school once again participated in the annual Terry Fox Run.  It was a really hot afternoon, but we did our best to keep moving like Terry Fox did.

We had a great time on Wednesday learning how to pick Good Fit books for silent reading.  Can you figure out who had the shoes(books) that fit them the best?

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to school! 

I hope everyone had a wonderful summer and are ready to have a fantastic school year!

I have an awesome group of grade 5/6 students again this year and I am excited to be teaching them.  We have completed a lot of fun get-to-know-you activites and are just starting to introduce the clusters we will be completing this term.

Our Simple Machine Projects

In Science we created our own simple machines at home and then shared them with the class.  We came up with some pretty creative machines!

Ice Fishing!

All the grade five and six students went ice fishing on Wednesday March 13th.  We had an awesome outdoor ed experience!  Two girls from Mr. Rolling's class even caught a fish.  Thanks to our parent drivers and chaperones who came with us!
